HP TippingPoint Secure Virtual Framework​

The HP TippingPoint Secure Virtual Framework (SVF) is designed specifically for implementing best-in-class threat protection for the virtualised infrastructure.  It incorporates the advantages of its trusted and proven physical data centre solutions into this new environment.

The HP TippingPoint SVF is designed to provide IT personnel with a single consolidated, yet flexible solution for extending the HP TippingPoint IPS appliances with its excellent threat protection into the virtualised data centre.

The solution includes two components:

• Virtual Controller (vController)
• Virtual Management Center (vMC) – both the vMC server and client are included with vController

Product Features​

The HP TippingPoint vController and vMC are purpose-built software solutions designed to enable the physical IPS platform to enforce full data centre segmentation of trust zones for physical hosts, virtual machines (VM’s), even mobile VM’s.  The vControler intercepts all packets within the hypervisor and based upon user-defined policies, tunnels packets to a HP N-Series IPS appliance for inspection.
