Why Install SCNEThome Cabling?
Today's informed homeowner recognises and aspires to having an "Automated" or "Smart Home" system in their new home. The concept of having access to Broadband Internet, Satellite, Digital and Terrestrial TV, Multi-Room Audio, CCTV, Mood Lighting etc is very appealing.
The first step to creating an "Automated Home" is the cable infrastructure. This is where SCNEThome can provide the cabling components, and COMPUTERLINKS the technical help required to provide any new home with the capability to achieve the desired "Smart Home". The cabling system and components leave the new home, network ready and capable of delivering a wide range of services that the Homeowner may require.
A fully "Automated Home" can cost tens of thousands, even a Cat 5e/ TV /Telephone integrated cabling system can cost several thousands of pounds. SCNEThome provide a high quality, integrated solution that covers all the main rooms of a home but which is more cost effective. (see diagrams below)

The SCNEThome cabling solution is straight forward, offering the homebuilder a simple solution, which will leave the new home ready and able to deliver new technologies at the homeowner's discretion. A complete system of Category 5E, Coax cables and components are installed in the new home, which will then allow the homeowner the opportunity to add various services that they may require.
1. Telephone points throughout the home allow access to the phone service from all areas allowing a central DSL filter. Telephone and fax lines can be distributed to any point in the home and redirected, by simply moving the cable at the Central Hub.
2. PC points throughout the home, allow for access to the internet/broadband in all areas (a small PC Networking Hub/ADSL router is required). This allows the homeowner and family access to their own network, which in turn can allow access to the Internet on several computers at one time and enable enhanced wireless installations if required.
3. TV points throughout the home and linked back to the TV and Satellite distribution unit enable all the homeowner's entertainment hardware and services to be located at the Central Hub. From here TV and Video can be distributed throughout the home.
These provide the main core package needed to give the homeowner the entry-level requirements for a "Smart Home"
Our reseller / installer partners work with builders, developers and architects to ensure that we can offer the best solution for each particular property. To take advantage of a full "Automated Home" some further additional cabling may be required, such as Alarm Cable, Speaker Cable etc. These can be easily arranged at planning and first fix stage.
Preparing a "Smart Home" integrated cabling system in the home at the planning stage allows the home to be network ready and capable of providing the home owner with a fully "Automated Home".
