This is a ground breaking release incorporating our self-optimising, self organizing SmartMesh feature for simple, hassle free deployment and expansion of ZoneFlex wireless networks in businesses and HotZones.
- SmartMesh is simply enabled through a single checkbox. The AP's are provisioned over Ethernet and can then be moved to their deployment location free of Ethernet connectivity.
- The optimal mesh topology is auto-discovered and so unlike other mesh solutions, no static configuration of root and node APs is required.
- Each AP advertises it uplink throughput potential so that the SmartMesh topology algorithm can take this into account along with the signal strength of neighbouring APs.
- The mesh topology is self healing.
- SmartMesh is supported by all ZoneFlex APs.
- The SmartMesh wireless backbone is automatically secured using WPA with a hidden SSID and it does not detract from the number of useable WLANs per AP.
- By utilising Ruckus network BeamFlex technology and the ZF7942 802.11n APs, high performance mesh backbone links can be established whilst maintaining compatibility with 802.11b.g clients.
