The new Nokia IP560 is a high security application platform for medium to large enterprises. It features robust price-performance for all packet sizes of real world network traffic and is ideal for high-speed Gigabit Ethernet connections. The flashed based system, with the optional hard disk drive is useful for local storage of logging information. Included in the Nokia IP560 are a four- port 1000BaseT Copper Gigabit Ethernet Card, a PCMCIA card slot carrier and a high-speed Encryption Accelerator card support 3DES, AES128 and AES256.
With the new Nokia IP560 platform, users have multiple options for deployment. In situations where it will be used as the primary security and management platform, the optional hard disk drive can provide space and performance to run the complete Check Point security solution.
In situations where management will be run remotely, the base configuration flash-based storage on the Nokia IP560 provides enhanced reliability by storing the application on solid-state storage. With the option for 12 ports of Gigabit Ethernet in the base configuration and up to 16 ports of Gigabit Ethernet with the removal of the installed card slot carrier the flexibility in port density is created.
To allow for off platform storage or back up of the current configuration, an optional card flash device or a hard disk drive is available and delivers over 6 Gbps of Ethernet for firewall and a total throughput of 1.9 Gbps encrypted traffic through the included four-port Ethernet card in a 1RU security platform.
