Proventia's multi-faceted protection engine combines multiple analysis and detection methodologies for optimum accuracy. A 2004 NSS Test Review resulted in a perfect score of 100 percent in attack detection and blocking, out-of-the-box resistance to false positives, and resistance to evasion techniques.

Automatic Security Content Updates
Updated security content can be automatically activated and applied to Proventia intrusion prevention appliances. Security content with a recommended action "set to block" is certified to be free of false positives.

Virtual Patch Protection
ISS' Virtual Patch process allows you to automatically update and apply protection policies to vulnerabilities before exploits are developed.

Spyware Blocking
Proventia automatically blocks spyware applications at the network level, preventing installation and download to clients whilst also blocking active spyware application communication for clients already infected with spyware applications.

VoIP Protocol Protection
Proventia parses and analyses the family of VoIP protocols to identify anomalous traffic. This unique type of analysis allows Proventia to block threats targeting your VoIP services.
