F5 Launch The New BIG-IP 1600 and 3600 Hardware Platforms

F5 recently launched the new BIG-IP 1600 and 3600 application delivery platforms that offer superior value through increased performance and integrated functionality at lower price points. These platforms complement the new release of BIG-IP software which features advanced security and increased ease of use.

Highlights of the new products include:

Full-featured ADC right out of the box - Every 1600 and 3600 platform comes standard with Fast Cache, IPv6 Gateway, Rate Shaping, SSL Offload, and Compression features.

Advanced security and acceleration - The 3600 platform is able to run BIG-IP Application Security Manager or WebAccelerator as a module on BIG-IP Local Traffic Manager.

Integrated protocol security option - Both new platforms are able to run the new BIG-IP Protocol Security Module (PSM).

Lower operating costs and greater efficiency - Twice the performance of their predecessors without increasing their power, space, or cooling requirements.
