On 8th March 2007, Citrix released Presentation Server version 4.5.

THE CHANGES TIMELINE
12th February 2007:
- Presentation Server Standard Edition (Shrink wrap) goes End of Sale.
- Presentation Server Standard Edition (electronic licensing) purchased on or after this date will not be eligible to upgrade to Advanced edition as a benefit of Subscription Advantage.
1st March 2007:
- Customers with valid Subscription Advantage will be eligible to download the 4.5 software.
8th March 2007:
- Launch of Presentation Server Platinum edition (see below for details).
- Addition of Application Streaming capability to Presentation Server Enterprise edition.
- Presentation Server 4.0 goes End of Sale (i.e. SKU now refers to 4.5)
31st March 2007:
- All Presentation Server Standard (Shrink Wrap) customers who have current Subs must upgrade to 4.5 Advanced edition by this date.
15th May 2007:
- Presentation Server Advanced price increase (approx £3 increase, please see price list).
- Presentation Server Enterprise price increase (approx £30 increase, please see price list).
- Presentation Server Standard to Advanced upgrade discontinued - TBC (currently under review at Citrix).
- Presentation Server Standard to Enterprise upgrade discontinued - TBC (currently under review at Citrix).
- Citrix Access Suite (and Step-up edition) - End of Sale.
- Citrix Password Manager for Presentation Server price increase (approx 75p increase, please see price list).
- Presentation Server Standard edition (electronic only) - End of Sale.
- Presentation Server Advanced to Enterprise upgrade price increase (approx £20 increase, please see price list).
- XP, PS3.0, PS4.0, PS4.5 Standard Edition Subscription Advantage Recovery price increase (approx £20 increase, please see price list).
What does all this mean to my customers?
Customers running Enterprise or Advanced Edition with subs
If Subscription Advantage is valid, they can upgrade to 4.5 free of charge.
Customers running Enterprise or Advanced Edition without subs
If Subscription Advantage has lapsed, they can buy back into Subscription Advantage using the GetCurrent program and then upgrade to PS4.5 free of charge.
Customers running Standard Edition
The following will apply:
- Shrink Wrap customers can upgrade to Advanced Edition as a benefit of Subscription Advantage by 31st March 07 only.
- Electronic customers who purchased before 12th February 07 can upgrade as a benefit of Subscription Advantage to Advanced Edition any time.
- Electronic customers who purchased after 12th Feb cannot upgrade to Advanced Edition as a benefit of Subscription Advantage. They must purchase an upgrade to Advanced Edition or Enterprise Edition before these go End of Sale on 15th May.
